Employee based consultancies will always be tempted to send to their clients the person with the emptiest order book.

As our focus is on helping organisations develop and implement Best Practices, we are not product oriented. Our role is to guide our clients to find the best solution, rather than convince them of the value of a particular solution. We recognise that:
every organisation is unique, and what works well in one may not be satisfactory in another
the people, their commitment and enthusiasm as well as their skills, are as important as the methods and technologies used
Hence our approach is focused on developing the capability of our client's people to make the best decisions – it is more about guiding learning, rather than imposing solutions. The result is an outcome that is well supported by the people within the organisation, who have participated in its development and hence understand its rationale. The outcome is also much more likely to be close to optimum for the organisation, as it has been developed by the people who know it best, and who will now have the skills and knowledge to constantly refine it over time as the business environment continues to change.
We take our role in the community very seriously and believe that our first responsibility is to provide excellent value to our clients, even if that means less financial reward to our business. In particular, we will refuse to undertake projects where we are not confident of achieving good value outcomes for the client, including in situations where the client indicates that they are not prepared to follow key elements of our advice.
